Two replacement heads appear in your search. One carries the shaver brand’s name; the other costs less and says “compatible.” It’s tempting to make the decision on price alone.
First, check what each seller is actually offering. A foil on its own and a complete foil-and-cutter set can look remarkably similar in a small product photo.
What “genuine” tells you
A genuine, or OEM, part is supplied under the original manufacturer’s brand. An aftermarket part comes from another maker. That distinction tells you who made the part; it doesn’t answer whether you’ve chosen the right one for your handle.
Genuine still needs to fit
Even when buying genuine, match the full replacement code to your shaver. The words “for Braun” or “for Philips” leave far too much room for a mistake.
Look up the replacement for your full handle model before comparing prices. That gives you a specific part to shop for, rather than a whole family of similar products.
What to look for in the cheaper option
Look for a named maker, an exact part reference and a clear list of supported models. Read the contents carefully: how many cutting heads, which cutters, and is the holder included?
If the listing relies on a long string of series names, ask the seller about your complete model code. A useful reply names the part and the device it fits. “Yes, compatible” without either detail doesn’t clear up much.
Think about the return before you open the pack
Check who is selling the item and what their terms say about opened grooming products. Save any answer you relied on. You don’t want to discover the return conditions after trying the head on your face.
There isn’t enough information here to declare every aftermarket head good or bad. Choose an offer with clear contents and a match you can check. If that information is missing, the lower price isn’t a good reason to guess.
