Philips marks RQ12/72 discontinued and names the complete SH70/72 unit as its replacement. SH70/72 is also marked discontinued on the manufacturer’s US support page.
For SensoTouch RQ12xx and Arcitec RQ10xx, Philips explicitly says SH71 is not compatible. Its RQ12/72 specifications state that there is no replacement if SH70 is also unavailable. A Series 7000 instruction to buy SH71 does not apply to these handles.
The complete-unit requirement matters
The RQ12/72 Amazon button opens its reviewed exact product. SH70/72 uses a search for the complete reference; no exact Amazon product has been confirmed for that code. Verify the complete original shaving unit and your handle code before ordering. A product link does not establish current stock or device fit. Loose cutters and a generic compatible assembly are not approved substitutes.
