Philips SH98/72: S9000 Prestige rounded-head replacement Guide

SH98/72 and SH98/82 are discontinued Prestige replacements for rounded heads. Angular Prestige generations use SH91; compare the exact handle and head shape.

The manufacturer limits SH98 to rounded SP981X, SP982X and SP986X Prestige generations, excluding angular SP983X, SP984X, SP987X and SP988X. SH98/72 lists three heads and a fully assembled bracket, while SH98/82 lists a shaving unit and retaining rings. These pack descriptions stay separate even though Philips names SH91 as the successor.

Philips marks SH98/72 and SH98/82 discontinued. SH98 is for rounded S9000 Prestige heads in SP981X, SP982X and SP986X. It excludes angular SP983X, SP984X, SP987X and SP988X.

Philips names SH91 as the successor and says its replacement heads cover both rounded and angular Prestige shapes. The old pack pages specifically name SP9860 for SH98/72 and SP9820 for SH98/82; a regional suffix is not added to those source codes.
