A search for “Braun Series 3 head” can leave you with a page full of similar-looking packs. Before choosing one, turn the shaver over and copy its model markings.
You need two numbers: the one identifying your shaver and the replacement reference Braun gives for it. Keep them separate so you don’t accidentally search for a handle when you mean to buy a cassette.
Start with the handle
Copy the full model, plus the type number if one is shown. A clear photo saves you squinting at the same label each time you open another listing. Use those details in Braun’s support information or when asking its support team for help.
The number on the old head is a useful clue too. But if you bought the shaver second-hand, or aren’t sure who last replaced it, check that clue against the handle’s documentation.
Match the code on the pack
Once you have the replacement reference, compare every character with the seller’s offer. Don’t drop a trailing letter just because two packages have the same colour or mention the same series.
If a shop offers a different reference as a replacement for the old one, look for Braun’s explanation of the change. A seller saying “new version” is a reason to check, not a complete answer.
Check the number printed on the package before opening it. Keep the order details and old head until the replacement is fitted. If the supplied code differs from what you ordered, photograph it and ask the seller to sort it out.
Follow the fitting instructions for your shaver. A cassette that needs force to go on is a reason to stop and check the part and orientation.
