Panasonic foil and blade sets: which number should you order?

The foil, inner blades and combined set can each have their own reference.

One Panasonic listing offers a foil. Another offers inner blades. A third says “replacement set” and costs more. They may all be legitimate offers for different contents.

Find the full ES model on your shaver, then look it up in Panasonic’s parts information. “ARC5” by itself isn’t enough to choose between those listings.

Read the row, not just the number

Panasonic’s support tables separate the system outer foil, inner blades and combined set for supported models. Copy the reference from the row describing what you want to replace.

A set has its own reference. You can’t work it out by joining the individual foil and blade numbers, even if they look related.

The plastic frame may stay

Before discarding anything, read the removal instructions. Some models reuse the foil frame, and Panasonic specifically tells owners to keep it.

That matters if a release button or frame has broken. Replacing the metal cutting parts may leave you with the same damaged frame. Ask for that piece separately if the set doesn’t include it.

The photo here shows a Panasonic ES-LT2A with the outer foil removed, exposing the inner blades. It’s useful for seeing the difference between the two; it doesn’t establish a parts match for another Panasonic model.

Once you know which pieces you need, compare the seller’s reference, quantity and contents with the official table. Check the delivered pack before opening it, and use your own model’s instructions for fitting.
