A shaver is an easy thing to throw into a wash bag at the last minute. Give the head a little space: loose plugs and other hard objects shouldn’t be pressing against the foil.
If you still have the supplied cap or case, this is a good time to use it. Check that it closes without squeezing the head or trapping the charging cable.
Don’t zip it away while it’s wet
Clean the shaver using its usual routine and let it dry fully before storing it. Philips specifically includes dry storage in its care advice. Allow some time between the last shave and packing.
If you have to leave immediately after use, make time to unpack and dry it as instructed when you arrive. Leaving damp parts closed in the case shouldn’t become the storage routine.
Try the travel lock before you leave
If your model has a travel lock, check how to turn it on and off. It’s easier to learn at home than to work out why the shaver won’t start when you’re in a hurry.
Pack the specified charger. A connector that looks right isn’t enough to establish that another adapter is suitable. For travel abroad, check the charger’s electrical label as well as the plug shape.
Take a readable picture of the model label and charger details. If you lose an accessory, you’ll have the numbers needed to ask for the right replacement without carrying the box.
Before closing the bag, check the cap, charger and any attachment you actually use. Keeping loose accessories beside the protected shaver, rather than wedged against its head, makes unpacking simpler too.
