Fit the protective cap or put the shaver in its case before packing it. The foil can be damaged by pressure from plugs, bottles and other objects in a wash bag. The case should close without pressing on the head or trapping the charging cable.
Clean the shaver and let it dry fully before putting it away. This applies to everyday storage as well as travel: a closed case leaves little opportunity for damp parts to dry.
Allow time for the head to dry
Follow the drying instructions for your model after cleaning. Philips includes dry storage in its care advice, so leave enough time between washing the head and packing it.
If you have to pack immediately after use, unpack the shaver on arrival and let it dry as instructed. Keep loose accessories in another compartment so they cannot press against the foil.
Travel lock and charger
If the shaver has a travel lock, activate it before packing and check how to release it. The button sequence depends on the model.
Use the charger specified for the shaver. For travel abroad, read its electrical label as well as checking the plug shape. A matching connector alone does not establish that a different adapter is suitable.
Save a readable photo of the model label and charger details on your phone. These references are useful if you lose a charger or attachment while away.
