Braun has introduced NEVO with a stainless-steel body and a dedicated care system. Panasonic has announced five- and six-blade additions to its compact PALM IN range for Japan, including a model supplied with a cleaning and charging pod.
Both are 2026 announcements. Philips’ i9000 range, announced in April 2025, is also covered here to explain the differences between its three versions. The details below come from manufacturer announcements and product pages.
Braun NEVO
P&G presented NEVO in an article dated 16 July 2026. Braun’s US product information names AeroTouch foil technology alongside the stainless-steel construction and dedicated care system.
Owners considering a move from Series 9 should check NEVO’s replacement-head and station compatibility before budgeting to reuse existing accessories. Braun’s claims about closeness and glide remain manufacturer claims.
Panasonic PALM IN: new models for Japan
Panasonic’s Japanese announcement of 23 July 2026 named three six-blade models, ES-P690U, ES-P680U and ES-P650U, and two five-blade models, ES-P550U and ES-P530U. Release was planned for early September 2026, with possible launch or supply delays noted in the announcement.
The ES-P690U package includes a PALM IN POD cleaning and charging unit. The pod is listed separately for ES-P680U and ES-P650U, making it a relevant difference when comparing package prices.
The announcement covers Japan. US and European availability, local warranty coverage and compatibility with older PALM IN accessories need to be confirmed separately.
Philips i9000: three versions
Philips announced i9000, i9000 Prestige and i9000 Prestige Ultra on 16 April 2025. The launch information distinguishes pressure feedback on Prestige and additional shaving modes and guidance on Prestige Ultra.
Compare the exact model sold in your country for its controls and included charging or cleaning equipment. The three range names describe different feature levels, and local packages may include different accessories.
Comparing an upgrade with a replacement head
If your current shaver works and gives you the finish you want, price its replacement cutting set alongside a new device. A smaller travel format, different controls or a cleaning station may make an upgrade useful; their value depends on how you use the shaver.
For a newly launched or imported model, check the local manual, replacement-head availability and seller’s support terms before ordering. A planned launch date does not confirm that a particular shop has stock.
