Why is your new shaver head rattling?

A noise that starts after a head change is worth checking before another shave.

You fit a new head, switch on the shaver and hear something different. Don’t assume it needs to “settle in.” Switch it off and check the installation.

Try to describe what changed: a loose rattle, scraping, or simply a different pitch. That distinction will help if you need to contact support.

Start with the things you just touched

Check that you fitted the right reference and that the head is facing the way shown in the instructions. If the kit reuses a frame, make sure it’s present and undamaged.

Look at the retaining pieces too. A head that sits unevenly or a latch that won’t close needs attention. Don’t press on the foil to force the assembly into place.

Look for damage from removal

Inspect the old holder for a cracked clip or broken latch. New cutting parts won’t fix a damaged carrier. Check the new pack for missing pieces and keep the packaging while you resolve the problem.

Use the model’s normal maintenance instructions if cleaning or lubrication is needed. Don’t open the motor housing to investigate a routine head replacement.

If the assembly looks right and the noise remains, contact the manufacturer or seller with the full model and part code. Say that the sound began immediately after replacement and describe the checks you made.
